Texas A&M College of Dentistry proudly serves as one of two OMS residency programs in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and is home to an elite faculty whose contributions to and expertise in the profession and are highly sought after.
The one-year, pre-residency program focuses on training new dental graduates in minor oral and maxillofacial surgery including dentoalveolar surgery, pre-prosthetic surgery, dentoalveolar trauma, management of odontogenic infections, exposure to dental implants, and management of the medically compromised patient.
Texas A&M College of Dentistry offers Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) externships to qualified third- and fourth-year dental students, from U.S. CODA-accredited schools, interested in pursuing OMS residency positions.
The OMS undergraduate curriculum is designed to provide broad clinical exposure while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety.
