Our Mission
The mission of the Office of Lifelong Learning and Alumni Relations at the College of Dentistry is to promote the most advanced continuing education curriculum for all dental professionals, enabling them to achieve elevated levels of knowledge and competency and to promote public safety with the highest standard of care and service to their patients and community. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.

Brauman-Bell Alpha Omega Lecture
Named for two distinguished graduates, this lecure series features nationally-known speakers focused on oral health; medicine as it relates to oral health; dental and craniofacial research; and/or oral health education.
Jesse T. Bullard Lecture
The lectureship affords an opportunity to hear from internationally renowned experts in prosthodontics and implant dentistry to discuss current topics in prosthodontics that will improve the standard of care for patients by increasing the knowledge base in prosthodontics and implant dentistry.
Dr. Tom Matthews Lecture
Dr. Tom Matthews helped found the Department of Orthodontics at College of Dentistry in 1961 along with his lifelong friend, Dr. Robert Gaylord. The Department of Orthodontics recognized Dr. Matthews many contributions to orthodontic education by establishing the lectureship in 2007
Arthur H. Merritt Lecture
The Arthur H. Merritt Lectureship in Periodontics was established at College of Dentistry in 1971 and is named in honor of Dr. Merritt, one of the early pioneers in periodontics and one of the organizers of the American Academy of Periodontology.
Morris S. Minton Honors Lecture Series
The Morris S. Minton Honors Series Lecture affords us the opportunity to invite distinguished leaders to speak on ethics and professionalism in oral health science, education, and research.
Linda C. Niessen Geriatric Dentistry Symposium
The Linda C. Niessen Geriatric Dentistry Symposium welcomes dental students, residents, practicing dentists, policy makers, medical colleagues, and those with a shared interest believing that oral health is health, specifically for older adults.
