Phone (214) 828-8355A security officer is on campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A second security officer is available in the Clinic Building during normal clinic hours, after hours on weekdays from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. , and on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from noon until 8 p.m.
Security Access and Escort Requests
The safety of our students, faculty and staff is our highest duty. The college’s location in the downtown area of one of America’s largest cities presents challenges that require everyone’s attention. Trust your instincts - if someone doesn't look right to you or makes you uneasy, get to a safe area and immediately call campus security or 911.
Security Escorts
College of Dentistry security officers are available to walk you to your car. To contact a security officer in the Administration and Education Building for an escort or other assistance, go to the security office located at the Hall Street entrance. If no officer is in the security office, call (214) 828-8335.
Administration & Education Building (AEB) Access
Students have 24-hour access to the AEB and may enter the building using the Hall Street entrance. A College of Dentistry ID card must be used at all times to enter the building.
Clinic & Education Building (CEB) Access
All students, faculty, and staff must enter the clinic building through the student and faculty entrance during working hours. A College of Dentistry ID card must be used at all times to enter the building. The CEB is available after hours Monday through Friday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 8 p.m. After hours access may be reduced during holidays. Clinic security is available by calling (214) 828-8339 during working hours.
Security reporting
All criminal incidents should be reported to the security staff as soon as possible. Campus crime statistics are maintained in the security office in the Main Building and may be viewed at any time. Annual Clery Reports for our campus are available at the link below and in the footer section of the college’s website. The college complies with the requirements of the Jeanne Clery Act concerning timely warnings (crime) and emergency notifications (e.g. weather, disease outbreak).
