About the Periodontics Graduate Program
Established in 1955, the Texas A&M Graduate Periodontics Residency Program is a 35-month, CODA-accredited program dedicated to developing future leaders in periodontics. The curriculum combines advanced surgical training, comprehensive implant education, oral medicine, interdisciplinary patient care, and research leading to a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology. Residents gain extensive clinical experience in periodontal regeneration, mucogingival surgery, implant therapy, and the management of oral mucosal diseases through the department's Stomatology Center, preparing graduates for careers in private practice, academia, and specialty leadership.
